Reasons to adopt, created by me: Not to mention, in some cases of international adoption, you get to pick the kid's gender and nationality...

If you've read the about page you know I'm a tween (pre-teen). I started school about a week ago. These are some observations about schools in general, and some improvements:
1. School supply lists don't always matter. There are kids who don't get the school supplies (which is okay), and sometimes they're wrong (the lists I mean), so what's the point of the lists? 2. Teachers don't care what you talk about when they say "talk amongst yourselves", they only care if you shut your mouth when they say, "Okay, listen up!" 3. Laying off teachers is stupid if you're going to hire more later. 4. Schools should make school buses more fun and more luxurious. 5. It is actually really good for you to go outside and even middle schools and high schools should have recess. 6. Nap time is smart. They do it in Taiwan. 7. All tweens and teens would benefit from school starting later. So I've been checking my "site stats" on Weebly. Apparently some people viewed this site. I would be over the moon if you could comment below so I know you exist. Something, anything! It could be gjhkailukhtlkjhgoih if you want.
-M I go on and on on this blog but I am shy. Weird, huh?
No. This is my secret identity to talk as, my diary. On the internet. In public. Where anyone could see it. Am I embarrassed? No, because I'm not talking in person. It's like...how I did a musical. I was fine because I didn't have to talk about myself- I was somebody different. Although, this stuff is all truth, no acting. I just...say stuff on here. Is it weird to feel like more than one person? No. Weird to be shy or outgoing all at once? NO- It's never weird to feel like you aren't one thing or another. The way I see it, almost everything's a spectrum. No one fits into a box or under a label. We are all different. -M Summary of this post:Things about America that are (in my eyes) ridiculously stupid, in that, it makes no sense to allow this, for lack of a better word, 'bad stuff' to go on here.
1. It's stupid that we are America, land of the free and home of the brave, but are not free to express our race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, beliefs disabilities and our SELVES all the time in some places, and we aren't brave enough to resonably depict LGBTQIA+ community, race, religious affiliations, realistic families, or even gender roles in our media. That's stupid. 2. Stereotypes are stupid. Just in general. Pretty much any stereotypes are...well, not only stupid, but horrible. And our media- and SOME OF US OURSELVES- just spews out more and more of them. 3. Racist jokes are stupid. Sexist jokes are stupid. Any jokes that make fun of a group of people are stupid. We are better than this. Don't be stupid enough to be that mean to people. You don't have anything REALLY funny to say, shut up. Racist jokes aren't funny. 4. Those little things are stupid. Those times when we are left out by labels of THEM and US without intentionally hurting someone. It's so much worse when people don't know they are being rude (in some ways) because at least when people intentionally hurt you they mean it to hurt and they want it to hurt and they expect it to hurt and they know their saying something hurtful. 5. Some of us (including me) are stupid because they sit there talking about problems while doing absolutely zilch about it. -M Hi there! On this blog I will probably be signing off as M and I don't have a lot to say about myself, but if you have questions I recommend reading the about page or commenting below. Even if you don't have anything, questions or things to say about my post, just comment Hi or something so I know you exist. I get the feeling this isn't going to become some popular site.
I'll get right to the point of this post: I want to talk a little about adoption. I have wanted to adopt kids since I was very small, about 6 years old. The reason then was, I didn't want to have kids biologically (I thought it was gross). Then I saw a little girl. She has become very important to me, and basically helped me figure out I was being called to pursue adoption. Of course, I am no where near old enough to adopt a child, but somehow, I began to think it's stupid to reproduce and make more children when there are obviously tons of children who are/could be having an awful life. If more people adopted, less of these kids would have a hard life! Obviously I am very passionate about this, so naturally I look up adoption-related things on the internet. I found one website for an international adoption agency, and two of the countries were China and Haiti. First I read the page about China. It said most of the kids living in the Chinese orphanage came there from poverty of their families had too many children. Then I read the Haiti page and it said this: Haitian children are mainly orphaned or abandoned due to widespread poverty. These children remain in orphanages, called crèches, until they are placed with a family for adoption. We work directly with the crèche to place children with families in the United States. With so many orphaned children in Haiti, the crèche is forced to turn away children in need. We look forward to helping Haiti find as many homes as possible for these children in need. At that point, I cried. THEY SEE CHILDREN WHO NEED THEIR HELP BUT THEY CANNOT HELP THEM. Pray for Haiti. Pray for all the children. To find out how you can help orphans in Haiti, Click Here. -M |
