Past generations have depleted natural resources that we just can't get back. Our unwillingness to release less greenhouse gases will force future generations to have a smaller carbon footprint. And our development of everything will leave those after us with less of our planet'a natural beauty and biodiversity.

The chart below supports this. 90 corporations have caused "42 to 50 percent of the global temperature increase and about 26 to 32 percent of global sea level rise" read more of this article and study here. These corporations make global CO2 levels and sea levels higher, and everyone pays for it.
BBC says "The gap between the world's poorest and richest countries is about 25% larger today than it would have been without global warming, according to Stanford University researchers in California." (read more here). The people at risk are those who cannot afford aid from things like hurricanes, windstorms, floods, and other natural disasters that increase with climate change.
Indigenous people have long understood how to work with our land and resources, and European settlers have long ignored them.
